Course Information

We offer two OFQUAL-regulated first aid courses to suit different workplace needs. The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a one-day option ideal for those in low-risk environments who need to act as an appointed person in emergencies. For those in higher-risk settings or with greater first aid responsibilities, the Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) course provides more in-depth training over three days. Choose the course that best matches the level of risk and responsibility in your role.

STA Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Lasts 3 years

The aim of the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is to enable an individual to be able to act as an appointed person to take charge of the first aid arrangements, including looking after the equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Medical Services when required.

This qualification is for individuals who have a specific responsibility at work to deliver basic first aid to individuals in a range of emergency first aid situations.

STA Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW)

3 day course

Up to 16 people

Lasts 3 years

The aim of the STA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification is to enable learners to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills that are required to deal with a range of first aid incidents including: basic life support, anaphylaxis, head and spinal injuries, asthma, bleeds and much more.

This qualification is for learners who have a specific responsibility at work to deliver basic first aid to individuals in a range of emergency first aid situations.
