Course Assessment

The evaluation of this qualification is based on two components:
1) A practical demonstration of water testing
2) A multiple-choice assessment.

The learner must complete all practical elements independently without any assistance from the tutor or any other competent person acting as the assessor. Similarly, the multiple-choice assessment must be completed independently by each learner under exam conditions, with the tutor or another approved person acting as the invigilator. To achieve the qualification, learners must satisfactorily complete the practical assessment and achieve the minimum competency required by the minimum pass marks for each unit in the multiple-choice assessment. All assessments are inline with the STA pool plant assessment guidance document.

Course Requirements

On the first day of the course, learners are required to be at least 16 years old. It is recommended that learners have a basic level 1 proficiency in both literacy and numeracy.
